Here are five scenic, cultural and natural destinations that you can easily enjoy in a single day.

1. Valli del Natisone – Forests, Villages and Quiet Beauty
   Distance: 10–15 minutes
   Drive (or ride!) through valleys full of rivers, forests, old churches and wooden bridges.
   Perfect for slow driving and nature photography.

2. Cross into Slovenia – Culture, Nature and Great Food
   Distance: 35–45 minutes
   Just over the hill lies Slovenia! Cross the border and discover the peaceful countryside, WWI history, waterfalls, and traditional gostilnas. Our favorite spots: Kobarid – famous WWI museum and Soča river, Livek and Robič – charming mountain villages.

3. Val d’Arzino – Friuli’s Wild Heart
   Distance: 45–60 minutes
   If you love natural pools, waterfalls and peaceful forests, this is the road trip for you.
   Bring a picnic or a towel — it’s perfect for a swim!

4. The Wine Road of Collio – A Scenic Gourmet Drive
   Distance: 20–25 minutes
   Roll through vineyards, castles and hilltop towns on one of Italy’s most scenic wine roads.
   Great views, great wines — and plenty of peaceful places to stop. Don’t miss: Cormòns – the unofficial capital of Collio and Dolegna del Collio – small town with amazing terraces.
